About — Rewritten Events

Hey! We’re the group you came to trust behind The Rewritten Book Festival.

We wanted to formally introduce ourselves as the co-owners of Rewritten Events and provide more reasons to trust us. The six of us bring years of experience from different industries.

Hazel St. Lewis is a Romantasy and Dark Romance author. She has a background in production, coordination, and event planning. Unfortunately, she is a little too obsessed with morally gray men… and morally worse women 😉.

Isha Craig is a native of Las Vegas and has over 15 years of experience in high-end customer service. She has a passion for hospitality, a love for helping others, and finds joy in the whimsy of life.

Jamye Smith, a Las Vegas-raised author diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, but that never stopped her. Jamye holds a Master of Business Administration, has experience in event coordination, and has worked at high-end hotels in Las Vegas. She’s also spent the last ten years in the corporate tech world dealing with execs and managing teams.

Mercedes Koefoed is a fantasy author who believes magic belongs in the everyday. She began writing when she was young and rediscovered her love for storytelling in 2023. She is also a graphic designer and event planner.

Nikki Carlson is a Bookish Influencer with a background in film and theatre. Fueled by creativity, chaos, and sheer determination. Open about living with dyslexia and ADHD, she often jokes about the daily mayhem they bring, but never lets them stand in the way of showing up for the book community. Through event collaborations, reader engagement, and a constant drive to evolve and grow, Nikki continues to carve out her place in the literary world.

Stephanie Hoff is a native of Dallas, TX, and the owner of Realm of Enchantments, a magical fantasy gift shop based out of the DFW. When she is not running her multiple small businesses, she enjoys party planning, getting muddy during obstacle course races, decorating fancy baked goods, and posting bookish content featuring reader giveaways as the influencer Persefani D on Instagram, TikTok, & Facebook. As one of the owners of Rewritten Events, she is the voice for the vendors and a pretty awesome human being!
